What's up my babies?
This evening I spent some time agonizing over the prospect of doing mixed media collage on canvas. It just seemed silly. So instead, and because I am at luxurious Camp McCarthy for the weekend (otherwise known as my parents house in NJ), my Dad is going to cut up some corkboard squares for me to artify tomorrow. There are also a lot of good old frames laying around our basement...hmm. Scavenging.
I have a million things swarming in my head before the big festival. Speaking of -- it's only 2.5 weeks away! I am going to get prints made of four more postcards, and perhaps a few originals collages as well. I'm setting a goal right this second to have all items for sale read by August 24, and then I can spend the rest of the week getting my vendor space ready. Right now I'm envisioning old suitcases filled with goods, decoupaged lamps, and a clothesline in between for hanging art on, of course.
Ooo! And I'll need a banner! And some business-y cards. And plastic bags for purchases. And another thing...
It goes on and on. I'm aiming to spend 4 hours a day on my art work Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of this week. We'll see what I come up with.

P.S. Tomorrow I'll post an artwork in progress of the press gallery. Still working out in my head what should take up some big empty space at the bottom of the composition. We'll see.
